Prior to cooking for you, I personally meet with you to discuss your food preferences and dietary requirements. I take the time to understand what you truly enjoy eating. Do you have any dietary restrictions or food allergies? How many servings and how often do you require my service? Which containers will we use? I address all your concerns and answer any questions that you may have.

The next step is to schedule a cook date. Based upon your input and the information that I gather at our assessment meeting, we will develop a customized menu for your approval. Looking for something not on the seasonal menu? No problem – with over 20 years cooking professionally, I  can provide you with any of your favorites.

On that day I will do the shopping, choosing only the best quality ingredients. I will arrive at your home with my portable kitchen, using all my own pots, pans and utensils. I then prepare all of your tailored menu selections, cool and package them according to your preferences. Each item is labeled, dated, and stored. I will leave you with a complete set of easy to follow heating instructions. You no longer have to worry about over cooking or under cooking your meals.

I clean your kitchen spotless and the only thing I leave is the smell of wonderful food in your home and a stocked refrigerator.

Each Entrée is accompanied with appropriate sides.

Chef Tom came to our rental house to cook two breakfasts and a dinner for a group of 14 people while we were staying in Napa Valley recently. He was very accommodating with all of our requests during our initial contact with him. His food was universally excellent, tasty and was prepared with fresh local ingredients. He was great company in the kitchen and fitted in really well with our group. For our dinner he went above and beyond our agreed upon menu, preparing hors d’oeuvres, sangria and multiple different desserts. Once he was gone, you would never know that he had been in the kitchen – leaving nothing but delicious leftovers. He was a big part of making our trip to Napa so enjoyable and we look forward to when we can return to experience Tom’s cooking again.

Hi Tom, I wanted to give you some feedback about the dishes I've had so far: Tom, you really out did yourself this time--everything was PERFECT and DELICIOUS!!! I'm really glad that I thought of adding the mango to the shrimp salad because it's now my favorite salad!! The mango really helped to balance out the salad--I can't believe how good it is with the grilled shrimp and Tom's fantastic vinaigrette! The frutti di mare is out of this world and so is Tom's garlic bread--he makes amazing garlic bread!! LOVE LOVE LOVE the halibut vera cruz--soooooo delicious!!! The couscous and mixed veggies are a perfect complement to this delicious fish. And of course, Tom's banana bread is the best! I'm in food heaven!!! I LOVE these dishes--thank you Tom!! You did an awesome job!!!

Hi Tom, I wanted to let you that the Zuni chicken was FABULOUS!! You did a perfect job--it tasted like it came from a high-end restaurant and how I imagine Zuni meant it to be. I absolutely loved it and am so glad I gave you that recipe to try. It really is a great mix of different flavors with the figs and the quinoa and leeks was a great choice for a side dish. LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT!! Thoroughly enjoyed all the food!

I am very pleased to have "discovered" Chef Tom. He prepared a wonderful formal dinner for us while we were on vacation in Sonoma and also provided "heat and eat" meals so I wouldn't have to cook. The meals were so delicious I had Tom cater a barbecue buffet for 12 in our home. Our guests raved about the food and even gave him a spontaneous standing ovation before he left! Tom is a versatile, highly talented chef. His meals are delicious and beautifully presented. Plus, he leaves the kitchen looking like nobody had been there. The only clue is the refrigerator stocked with wonderful meals! I recommend Tom for both formal and casual celebrations, and for preparing everyday meals for busy people with no time to cook. It is customary to pay for the service in advance of your cook date (cash or check). If you prefer I will collect a check for the personal chef service in addition to the grocery deposit and the container fee (if necessary) on the day we do the assessment. There is no need to sign a long-term contract and you can use my services as often as you like.
